Christmas donation to the Tafel and to Rastatt clubs and organizations

Donations for a good cause
The Ballerstaedt company is committed to the common good – 5,000 euro donation for the Tafel Rastatt – eight other Rastatt associations and organizations each receive 1,000 euro.
RASTATT. Traditionally, the Ballerstaedt company supports clubs and organizations in the region. This year, 5,000 euros will be donated in kind to the Rastatter Tafel food bank. In addition, the Friends of the Augusta Sibylla School, the Friends of the Karl School, the Senior Citizens’ Aid Rastatt, Vive, the Phönixtheater, the Jiu-Jitsu Martial Arts Association, the Feuervogel Association and the Theater-Verein-Reithalle were also honored.
“These local associations help children, young people, women and needy people in Rastatt every day and make a significant social and cultural contribution to our society,” explains Managing Director Harald Ballerstaedt. For the first time, a large donation goes to the Tafel in Rastatt. “Life has changed. This year, even fewer people can afford to spend the necessary money on food and hygiene items,” says Thorsten Weber, managing director of the Rastatter Tafel. If you look at their homepage, you will immediately notice the reference to the current recording stop. “There is too little food for too many people seeking help,” Weber said. “We are particularly concerned to alleviate this emergency somewhat,” explains Harald Ballerstaedt. Thanks to the high amount of donations, in addition to the usual food such as pasta, rice, flour and milk, hygiene items, juices, cookies and chocolate could be handed over. Thorsten Weber gratefully accepted this donation on Monday morning. Seniorenhilfe Rastatt e.V. is also happy about the annual financial injection at Christmas. The association is committed to combating the loneliness of older citizens and this year is supporting Rastatt citizens aged 80 and over in receipt of basic income support with a Christmas gift of 150 euros. For Sylvia Weimer-Hartmann, chairwoman of the Karl School’s booster club, the Christmas donation comes at just the right time. “Grants are down this year because of the many crises we all have to deal with,” Weimer-Hartmann says with gratitude.
