Christmas donation to twelve local associations

Donations on the occasion of Ballerstaedt’s 75th anniversary
“Contribution to our society”.
Rastatt, Germany. Is it possible to celebrate in pandemic times? Yes and no: The Rastatt-based company Ballerstaedt is turning 75. But instead of a big ceremony, the system provider for sealing solutions is making twelve organisations and associations from the region happy by donating 12,000 euros.
The certificate from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for the 75th anniversary reached Managing Director Harald Ballerstaedt by post. “We can look back on an eventful history of our company and are proud of the worldwide successes we have already been able to celebrate as a medium-sized company at the Rastatt location – not least thanks to our committed employees,” he emphasises.
The company, which produces, among other things, sealing lids for toothpaste tubes and cosmetics for customers worldwide, looks back on a successful year of operation. Despite the tension on the raw material markets and the effects of the Corona pandemic, Ballerstaedt was able to significantly exceed its sales targets for 2021.
The company shares this success with twelve local organisations and associations and donates a total of 12,000 euros to the Verein Junge Flüchtlinge Rastatt, to the Freunde der Augusta-Sibylla-Schule, to the Förderverein der Karlschule, to the Seniorenhilfe Rastatt, to the Phönixtheater Rastatt, to the Jiu-Jitsu Kampfsportverein, to Feuervogel e.V., to the Theater-Verein-Reithalle, to the Trägerverein Frauen- und Kinderschutzhaus Baden-Baden und Landkreis Rastatt, to the association Stolpersteine Rastatt, to the Rastatt Animal Shelter and to the Homeless Aid of the Diakonischen Werks Baden.
The donation cheques were handed over to representatives of these associations at a small corona-compliant gathering. Harald Ballerstaedt personally thanked all of them “for their commitment and their contribution to the success of our society in and around Rastatt”. All associations briefly presented their work and current projects.
Otto Tepper from the Diakonisches Werk praised Managing Director Ballerstaedt for the selection: “A colourful range of associations, all of which make an important contribution to society in our city and district.” Marcel Müller of Stolpersteine e.V. expressed his thanks on behalf of all for the generosity and appreciation of the Rastatt entrepreneur: “The Corona crisis has not left the associations unscathed. Therefore, we are all the more pleased that our voluntary commitment has received such recognition.” Syliva Weimer-Hartmann from the Förderverein der Karlschule added that the money comes in very handy for all the clubs and that thanks to this financial support, many projects can be realised that would not be feasible for the clubs without such donations. The closing words were given by Ute Kretschmer-Risché, who took the opportunity to present the “Rucksack” project of the Verein Junge Flüchtlinge Rastatt, for which the donation is urgently needed.
The company is looking to the future with confidence: “We are grateful that we have come through the pandemic period well so far, despite the difficulties caused by the spread of the coronavirus,” says Harald Ballerstaedt: “We are working hard to become a climate-neutral company in the coming years. This goes hand in hand with the development of innovative, sustainable packaging solutions and an increasing digitalisation of our business processes in order to be prepared for the challenges of the future.”
